Q. What influenced your decision to become a wedding photographer?
A. I always have been a photographer, but I would say my own wedding really caught me on it. After I photographed a few weddings I realized I just loved it. All the emotion of the families, the crowd, the laughter and fun of it.     

Q. Describe your wedding photography style:
A. I don’t think I really could, except to say that I love to capture expression if I can. So maybe a bit of an illustrative style. Images that show a feeling. A bit of everything, really. I do like to pose the bride and groom, but I also like to quietly catch them through the action of the day. I love fun moments where the wedding party gets to cut loose and show off some pent up energy, but its important to catch posed moments too.     

Q. Describe your perfect client:
A. Someone a bit off the wall and offbeat, is genuinely happy and enjoys themselves and wants pictures of Auntie crying during a speech, toddlers hiding under the table at dinner and groomsmen cutting loose on the dance floor.

Q. What is your favourite part of the wedding day(s)?
A. All of it! But my favorites I have to say are the unformal-formals, and then time after dinner where everyone starts to get excited when the music starts, little children are dancing and grandma has had her second glass of wine.   

Q. Where are your favourite places to shoot in Edmonton?
A. Anywhere! Some beautiful river-valley settings can make a photo, but I like to look at existing surroundings in a different way and find inspiration thats nearby. Building staircases, escalators, community hall building walls, odd shapes on a stage. All the world is a stage and the best pictures might be in a parking lot  

Q. Do you photograph weddings outside of the Edmonton area, and if so, where are you able to travel?
A. Yes! I travel around the edmonton ‘burbs, or further for any booked wedding. New adventures are fun, I would love a chance to work across Alberta and Canada    

Q. What makes you different from other wedding photographers?
A. For all my quirkiness, I am a fairly down to earth person, and want the day to be about my clients. I want to make those shy quiet brides fee comfortable and beautiful, as well as the outgoing ones. I also do my own post processing, and have a bit of my own illustrative style. There are tons of wonderful photographers in the Edmonton area, but the best relationships and results I find are ones when the bride and groom and photographer click.    

Q. If you were getting married (or if you were to do it all over again), who would you choose to photograph your wedding, and why?
A. loved the photographer I had for my wedding, but if I had to do it again, I would be a bride with a camera. I was a very DIY bride, who had a movie themed wedding, a photobooth themed on the wedding crashers and popcorn for the guests. I would go for more gusto this time, and haul my Canon to the alter.    

Q. Do you photograph anything else other than weddings?
A. Yes! I love change, so I do a lot of Pin-up, boudoir, maternity and baby photography, as well as families and pets.
