Q.What influenced your decision to become a wedding photographer?
A. I originally started out to photograph stock (landscapes, lifestyles, commercial work, etc). A friend wanted someone to photograph their wedding – I had so much FUN – I had to continue !
Q. Describe your wedding photography style:
A. FREESTYLE – a combination of traditional, contemporary, and photojournalism
Q. Describe your perfect client:
A. A fun loving couple that has a passion and zest for living and are not afraid to push the envelope a bit to get images that are a bit different.
Q. What is your favourite part of the wedding day(s)?
A. Everything – the emotion, the excitement, the sadness (when the Father of the Bride “gives away” his little girl!
Q. Where are your favourite places to shoot in Edmonton?
A. Anywhere from the Legislature Building to any back alley.
Q. Do you photograph weddings outside of the Edmonton area, and if so, where are you able to travel?
A. I’ll photograph weddings anywhere on the planet – last year I shot weddings in Mexico (3), Cuba, Dominican Republic, and St Thomas, USVI
Q. What makes you different from other wedding photographers?
A. My enthusiasm, my personality
Q. If you were getting married (or if you were to do it all over again), who would you choose to photograph your wedding, and why?
A. Jim Garner, a fantastic photographer from Seattle that was voted one of the world’s 10 best photographers
Q. Do you photograph anything else other than weddings?
A. Yes, one of my specialties is Landscape Photography. I have won numerous awards with the Professional Photographers of Canada, as well as winning numerous photography contests
