Q. What influenced your decision to become a wedding photographer?
A. I was at a surprise birthday party in 2008 for some people in Vancouver that I didn’t even know. There, I met Ral & Danelle, two photographers from Vancouver. They really encouraged me to pursue my passion and jump into the deep end. I haven’t regretted a moment since.

Q. Describe your wedding photography style:
A. Describe my style? I wish I could. I think I’ll always be working on my style. For now I’m drawn to emotions and I love to do sexy portraits.

Q. Describe your perfect client:
A. MY clients are a little bit exhibitionist. They love pictures and aren’t afraid of public display of affection. They’re full of life and they ooze fun right from the first meeting.

Q. What is your favourite part of the wedding day(s)?
A. Speeches. I have a fetish for speeches. It’s like I get a little window into my client’s families and I learn so much about them. I usually laugh a lot and sometimes I cry a little.

Q. Where are your favourite places to shoot in Edmonton?
A. Anywhere at night. I’m a big fan of night time and some of my engagement sessions have even started after dark.

Q. Do you photograph weddings outside of the Edmonton area, and if so, where are you able to travel?
A. I’ve done a few out of town weddings. I’m not a big nature bug or a country boy, but any major city with a downtown and a few starbucks is my type of town.

Q. What makes you different from other wedding photographers?
A. I think I really get attached to my clients. I get to know them as much as possible. Often meeting with them for dinners or coffee or just hanging out with them. I’m still friends with most of my past clients and I consider their friendships to be one of best perks of the business.

Q. If you were getting married (or if you were to do it all over again), who would you choose to photograph your wedding, and why?
A. N/A. I’m not marriage material. As much as I love making new friends, I need my alone time.

Q. Do you photograph anything else other than weddings?
A. Currently I only shoot weddings. I think in the future I pursue other facets of photography but for now I’m strictly shooting weddings.
